Daisuke Tanita, the former president, explains the history of Tanita in an audio book series, the first part of which concentrates on the quintessence of Tanita operation. He tells how it began as a town factory that made bathroom scales as measuring instruments up to the point where it gave birth to the hit product known as the body fat scale that measures the level of health, explaining numerous trial and error attempts and how their former work methods changed in the process.Alteration of business directionality also means making thoroughgoing changes in the stance of the organization. Why does one enterprise succeed in its attempt to make reforms while another one fails? Wherein lies the difference between an enterprise that succeeds and one that doesn’t?
