  • Geared towards PIMO and other folks newer to the experience of having left a high-control religious group, on this episode we read the first half of chapter 4 from Combating Cult Mind Control, by Steve Hassan.

    It's definitely a dense & interesting read (and the next half will be also), but early on I wanted to do at least one session where we go over nitty-gritty details of what really is unique about the 'cult' experience in terms of atmosphere and tendencies, vs just a more normal church or religious (or even social-political) group.

    The book is indispensable, and I highly recommend it and also Steve's great website with further resources.
