Right before the journey, there is a preliminary exam to see if you are worthy of the journey, if you are ready for the next stage, the next level, the next mission, and to the real first test to see if you've putting in the work on yourself. That test often shows up in form of desires and temptations. The journey takes a lot of will power and discernment, so to test your will power, you are often tested in the form of your own discernment, and the will power to maybe say no to something, or not give in to the first thing that seems like an easy fix, the journey is taking the hard path, so often that temptation shows up as a short cut or an easier route, don't get cut short by taking the short cuts!
