To not conform means to resist the pressure to adhere to societal norms, expectations, or standards that may compromise one’s individuality, values, or authenticity. It involves asserting one’s unique identity, beliefs, and choices, even if they are different from the mainstream or challenge prevailing conventions.

Here are some ways to not conform:

• Be authentic - it takes courage to stay true to oneself and resist the pressure to fit into predefined molds or conform to external standards.

• Freedom in nonconformity - there is freedom and empowerment that comes from breaking free from societal judgment or criticism.

• Celebrating diversity - to celebrate diversity is to recognize that there is true beauty and innovation that emerge when we dare to think and live differently.

• Empower others - encourage and empower others to embrace their uniqueness. Also, to live authentically, fostering a culture of acceptance, inclusion, and celebrating diversity.

Overall, not conforming is about embracing independence of thought, action, and expression, and refusing to be bound by the limitations of conformity. It’s about having the courage to think critically, question the status quo, and forge one’s path based on personal principles, passions, and aspirations. Not conforming can lead to greater freedom, authenticity, and fulfillment, as it allows individuals to live in alignment with their true selves and pursue their own definition of success, happiness, rather than succumbing to external pressures or expectations.

A few ways to rest in the wait:

• Art of surrender - to surrender is to let go of control during seasons of waiting. It is important to release attachment to outcomes and trust in God’s timing, even when the path forward is unclear.

• Finding peace in stillness - exploring practices and techniques for finding peace and serenity amongst the uncertainty of waiting.

• Nurturing self-care - self-care is significant during times of uncertainty. It is important to prioritize self-care and incorporate practices that nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

• Quality time - spending quality time being fully present and engaged in meaningful activities together.

• Physical affection - express your love through physical affection such as hugs, kisses, and gentle touches.

• Thoughtfulness - being thoughtful and considerate towards your loved ones’ needs or preferences. Remember important dates, surprise them with small gestures of kindness, and show appreciation for who they are.

• Forgiveness & acceptance - recognize that no one is perfect. Let go of grudges, embrace imperfections, and offer unconditional love and support.
