  • The power of Vision Boards. Mamas, visualize it. MYO S2, E 2
    2023/01/20

    Hello hello!

Thanks for being here everyone. Truly glad to have you back to listening to another episode of Mama, You're Okay podcast. If you are new here, welcome. I love sharing my journey and experiences as a mom, and the different tools and tricks that have helped me navigate the craziness of it all.

Making vision boards was something that I didn't think I had in me to do, but now I truly love doing. In this episode, I talk about why I started, how I do it, when do I do it, the different ways to do them, and the benefits of manifestation and visualization. I am a visual person, so if I see something, I am more prone to act on it. Vision board time became my treasured time where I could sit down, relax, and just let inspiration gather around me. I hope you find a version that works for you. If you feel inspired, please share yours with me on the social media page @Mama_You're_Okay  on instagram, or Mama, You're Okay Facebook page.

Thank you, again, for being here, and mamas, remember, you are okay.

    Love

  • We survived the Holidays! Mama, You did great! (MYO S2. E 1)
    2023/01/12

    Hi everyone!

Welcome to Mama, you're okay! I am so glad to see you all back for another season of our podcast. If you are new, thank you so much for stopping by. The people who listen to my episodes are fun and lovely parents who are also tired and needing a place of reprieve and laughter to get through the day. Listen in and join me as I ramble on about things that I've gone through, have seen, and what I've learned.

Today's episode is about Holidays, 2022. Wow, the 2 months flew but dragged at the same time. November and December felt like a never ending revolving door of sickness and appointments and holiday parties. But, we survived. You can laugh with me at ridiculousness and craze of the holidays, and, too, listen to me dissect my own toxic trait of why I was perpetually sick during it all and how I learned to escape it. If you relate to this, I hope you give yourself the grace to breathe and know you did your best. We can only learn and be the best we can be.

I am sending all of the love and joy to you all as we start 2023. It's going to be a great one, I can feel it in my bones. Manifest with me: 2023 is going to bring joy, prosperity, and love to all. We will bring joy and love to all. We will bring joy and love to ourselves.

    Love,

    Ilyana

  • Mama, we made it 3 years of parenthood! You did great! MYO Ep 18
    2022/08/17

    Hi everyone!

Wow, as I typed those words into the title, it really hits me that I have been a parent for 3 years. My son celebrated his birthday recently, and as much as it is a mark of his existence, it is also the celebration of the parents for their growth and journey into this new life. Stephen, my husband, joins me in talking about our past 3 years: what we have learned, what we have enjoyed about each stage of our lives, and also an insight to the birthday parties we threw for our son. We also have a debate halfway through the episode about whether I was right or Stephen (I know there's team Ilyana's out there!)

Needless to say, we had fun talking about our lives and how much it had changed. We love being parents, even though it is exhausting and trying sometimes. As I say in the beginning, I love being my son's mother, but being a mother can be hard. I have also learned to let go of the guilt, the guilt that I should be loving motherhood, by giving myself grace when I don't. That I am going through a hard phase right now and it too shall pass. If you are there with me, mamas, you are not alone and you are doing great!.

    Much love,

    Ilyana

  • Mama, Kellie is telling you, you are okay with your grief. MYO Ep 16
    2022/08/03

    Hello everyone!

Wow, we are super honored to have our special guest with us on today's episode. Kellie Lilly is a wonderful mother and coach. She is prominent in the social media world, where she has been open about her fitness journey and motherhood. Too, she has opened up about her life as a wife who's husband had cancer, and recently, passed away from the disease. The journey through grief has not been linear. It has been a whirlwind of ups and downs, from the moment they found out about the cancer to his passing, from finding out about their pregnancy to being a widower. Kellie has gone through the gamut of emotions in the past 7 years, but one thing she is not doing is letting her grief overtake her need to be strong for her son, whether that is mentally or physically or emotionally.

Honestly, honored doesn't begin to describe how we felt when she agreed to be on our podcast. Going through grief is one thing, but opening up the emotions to us, and completely strangers, is another. If you haven't already, please go find her on instagram @mrskellielilly or go through her linked pages here at Beacon . She is a true light and show of strength.

Please follow us on instagram @mama_youre_okay or facebook Mama, You're Okay . Look for even more exciting episode to come.

Thanks for being here with us. We are so proud of the community we are building with this podcast and we love what we do. Thank you for the support and love that we receive. If you have any new ideas for us, please feel free to message us here or on our social media page. We love hearing from you.

    Love

  • Mama, you're doing great with homeschooling. MYO Ep 15
    2022/07/28

    Welcome back everyone!

In this week's episode, we have a very special guest, Susan! She has been a great friend since we first met at church. We share our faith, love of music, and motherhood together. In our podcast, we sat down and talked about her experience with homeschooling and how it and her faith has shaped the her and her daughter's lives. We get into the inception of homeschooling for her family, what kind of curriculum she uses, and how it has evolved through the years. With her girls ages ranging from 6 to 12 yo, there has definitely been some challenges with homeschooling; but, from how our conversation went, the good outweighs the bad. And there is evidence in her daughters of how well she is doing for them by their merits, their successes, and their love for each other.

If you have experience with homeschooling, please comment below and tell us how it has impacted your lives. We would love to hear from you!
And, as always, remember mamas, you are okay.

    Love,

    Ilyana

  • Mama, you are okay with your depression MYO Ep 14
    2022/07/20
Hello listeners,  Disclaimer on this episode: In this episode, I talk about my real and live battle with depression. If this topic is triggering to you in any way, I completely understand if you want to skip the podcast. I hope you will join us for the future episodes.  For those of you who are here and listening, thank you. I was having hard moments throughout the day and needed a way to get this brain in a different path of conversation. I thought that maybe talking it out would help, and it actually did. Just like talking to a therapist, having things out in the universe can help give perspective and understanding, and maybe even a little compassion.  It is short and emotional, but this is real time. Maybe I'll do more, if it helps others with their battle. How do you deal with your depression?  Follow us on social media for updates on episodes and let us know your thoughts. We love connecting with you all.  instagram: @mama_youre_okay  facebook: Mama you're okay group  Lots of love, you are not alone.
