  • #5 - Audiovisual Performance & Digital Musicianship
    2023/05/08

How can I as a cellist performing live still control the overall sense or structure of the piece, performing builds or drops while I am playing…. But both my hands are occupied!? This podcast episode explores audiovisual performance techniques and the idea of digital musicianship. The concepts are explored on the back of a project in which tools such as live looping with Ableton Live and a BOSS-RC loop station. What is your spark? About two and a half years ago I had a tiny idea that kept growing and growing. In this episode I am explaining the heart and story behind the project that has taken us from Germany to Switzerland and finally here to England. It really has been a journey on a geographical, musical and personal level. After sharing how this tiny spark developed in my experience, I want to pose the question to you: what is your spark?
