Relationships: Don’t feed the alligators

  • サマリー

  • “Hi, my name is Denise, and I’m a statistic.”

The most requested topic is relationships. The girls dive into statistics—38% of adults are not married or living with someone. “People are getting pets instead of people,” Denise jokes. “The dating world has changed in the last twenty years. A lot of my friends are now divorced and middle-aged. They have no idea what to do.” Jenna discusses how the exceptions of women has changed as well. “My degree was secondary to finding a husband.” Denise admits that she felt safer leaving her family’s home married than single. “We are the generation stuck between two different worlds—get married, but also get educated and have a career. Somehow women are supposed to do it all. That’s the expectation, and it’s damn near impossible.” Denise talks about how she believes men are confused. “They don’t know what to do because so much has changed. Things have shifted and no one told them.” Jenna agrees and adds, “Things have shifted. We created all these boss babes—what do we do? We are out working corporate jobs. I can’t clean your home—sorry.” The girls discuss intentions, people wasting time, and much more.
