• My guest today is Ben Von Drehle. Ben is the owner of The Root Coworking. The Root’s mission is to deliver the highest quality workplace experience through community & culture while providing first-class service to its members.

• Ben and I discuss growing up in Tulsa, the evolution of downtown Tulsa, and his early entrepreneurial endeavors. We discuss his passion and educational background in sports journalism. He tells how his career started in commercial real estate in Denver, working with companies to help find the perfect office space.  He began gravitating toward the tech and entrepreneurial scene in Denver, fell in love with the concept of coworking, and knew that smaller markets in his hometown of Tulsa, OK lacked these resources. He tells how The Root was born in October of 2019. You’ll also hear him describe what a coworking space is, how The Root is different, and the evolution of The Root’s name. Finally, he shares some of his favorite books and mindfulness tips.
