🎬THE MSA TAKE: SEASON 3: EPISODE 5 🎬
There has been a lot that our communities have recently gone through…to say the least 🎢
From individuals acting up, to media bias, to our own experiences with our communities - emotional wounds can resurface and our sense of confidence in our identity can fizzle out 🥤
How do we deal with everything when it feels like Muslims are under the microscope? How can we heal from our own painful experiences, especially if our deen is weaponised against us? 🤔
Get ready to take notes from none other than Sister Ramia Abdo Sultan!🙌
Yes, you heard that right!
Also known as 'the hijabi lawyer', Sister Ramia is a practicing lawyer at LawBridge, community relations advisor for the Australian National Imams Council and a gem within the Muslim community
You might already know her as being at the forefront in speaking out against injustices that we face, leading Islamic circles for the community and paving the way for Muslims to reach great heights! 🏔️
Today we get to hear her view on being Australian and Muslim, as well as how we can heal from painful experiences that make us want to push away from our communities and sometimes even our deen 💨
🍉PS: She is also Palestinian and the Vice President of Gaza Childrens Fund!
