When you have Jesus life is different.

How does your relationship with Jesus affect your parenting, grandparenting, your obedience to Christ?

Children and Teens: Obey your parents from your heart. Obey because you want to live for Jesus.

Parents: Examine why you're asking your children to do something, don't exasperate or discourage your child.

Jesus is alive and it has real world implications.

The testimony of Jesus' resurrection is important because it demonstrates that Jesus was the God-man who came to take away our sin.

Reading from Luke 23 we hear of the cross, the sacrifice.

Notice how Luke establishes the innocence of Jesus, if He were not innocent He could not be our substitute.

Notice the exchange between the criminals and Jesus on the cross. The innocent man was willing to die for the guilty, so that the guilty can be treated like the righteous.

Verses 44 - 46, the sacrifice has been made, the veil is torn in two and Jesus understands that it is complete.

As we prepare for the Resurrection we look at Luke 19 and the Triumphal Entry.

Jesus was going towards Jerusalem.

Jesus was paying it all to bring all to Heaven, but knew that many would reject Him.

Do you sit in a spirit of gratitude for Jesus' poise & determination?

Aren't you glad He walked with determination to the cross?

How do you live in this present world with your mind up above with Christ?

We need to turn from loving earthly things to loving the things of the Spirit.

If you belong to Christ be spiritually minded, seek the things of the Spirit and contemplate Christ.

What we know about Christ should impact our relationships.

As saved people in Christ when we walk in the Spirit our relationships are impacted.

A husband walking in the Spirit will treat his wife differently than a husband following the world.

A wife walking in the Spirit will server her husband differently than a wife following the world.

What rules you?

As a saved person our relationship with Jesus should rule our everday life.

You have to be intentional, you can't have the Spirit without the Word.

In this sermon we see how to live the life Christ calls us to. The more we know Him, through scripture and prayer, the more we're able to imitate Him in our daily lives.
