  • Ep. 22 - "There is Such a Thing As a Dragon"
    2024/08/24

Join us for episode 22 where we talk about what FEAR really is...

How are monsters under the bed for children comparable to problems in the future for adults?

Why is telling a child, "There's no such thing as a monster under the bed" or "Don't be scared" a problem?

Why do we subject ourselves to scary movies and telling ghost stories?

Why is it important to recognize dragons (or fears) in life and what's the answer when it comes to defeating them?

We talk about all of these things and more in this episode!

  • Ep 20 - "Takin' the (Cold) Plunge"
    2024/07/20

Join us for episode 20, where we take a dive into our new toy - the cold plunge!

Lee has been wanting a cold plunge for years. I, Carrie, on the other hand, haven't. 😉 Regardless, I took my first plunge this morning and we'll see where it takes us.

We briefly chat about some of the benefits of cold water submersion and Lee goes down a rabbit hole as he explains how where his thoughts go just before he's about to step in.

We hope you'll join us as we have a little fun in episode 20!

  • Ep. 18 - "Small Talkin' with the Family"
    2024/07/07

Join us for Episode 18, where we sit down with Lee's brother, Andrew, and his wife Holly.

Andrew, Holly, and their kiddos came to stay with us recently and we coerced them to sit down and record a podcast with us. We had to twist their arms - but only slightly. ;)

In episode 18, we chat about everything from horses/barrel racing to whether or not the Virgin Mary actually rode a donkey into Bethlehem (the answer may surprise you).

Hope you enjoy a little light-hearted and easy to listen to fun.

  • Ep.17 - "Life After Betrayal" (Part Two)
    2024/06/28

In episode 17, we continue chatting about the steps we took after betrayal. In part one, we spoke of how our faith initially helped us forgive, but time proved that forgiveness wasn't enough. It was enough to initially save our marriage from ending, but it wasn't enough to keep our marriage from ending.

In Part Two, we dive into some of the rules we set in place to keep us "safe", but once again, we eventually realized that even the rules wouldn't build genuine TRUST. We also talk about implementing alone time (date nights and weekend getaways), without kids or other worldly distractions.

The truth is, we've continued to evolve and change our strategies. What we've discovered is that it's a journey and our needs are ever-changing. Our goal isn't to have a marriage that just survived betrayal. Our goal is to have a THRIVING marriage, where we are connected emotionally and spiritually - where we become ONE, as it's meant to be.

Join us for episode 17, "Life After Betrayal" (Part 2). ♥️

Many of you have asked us to talk about how we've built a thriving marriage after betrayal. Because this topic is so deep, episode 16 only covers the steps we took in the immediate aftermath.

The truth is, we've evolved and our journey has required us to try MULTIPLE things. Every trust-building step we've taken has been critical, but over the past 12 years, we've outgrown many of the steps (or rules) we initially implemented. When something is no longer working or no longer "good enough", it's critical to look deeper.

Tune in to hear us chat about what worked for us in the early days following betrayal.
