This week we welcome back an old friend of the podcast, Keith Gave. Keith is a former Detroit Red Wings beat writer for the Detroit Free Press and an author of several books about hockey. With the Red Wings off to a VERY disappointing start, fans becoming more and more impatient with the Yzerplan, and the seat of head coach Derek Lalonde getting hotter by the day, we have plenty of discussion fodder.

In the second half of the show we discuss the rampaging 9-1 Detroit Lions, winners of 8 straight, setting numerous franchise records in the process while are playing like the best team in the NFL.

We also talk about the surprising 7-8 Detroit Pistons, who have the look of a team that could compete for a play-in spot in what appears to be a very weak Eastern Conference.
