    In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly talk about the concept of advanced leadership of self. But what does that really mean? In this episode John poses the question to chat GPT. The essence of what Chat says is it’s taking personal responsibility for your life and the results that show up in your life. Making sure your actions reflect steps to your well thought out goals. John talks about how there is this constant dance between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. In the conscious mind you’re establishing the ideal you. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you are going to achieve your clearly defined goals. So that’s again established in the conscious mind.Then you feed that to the subconscious mind. It takes 12 minutes a day. And the effect is the ideal you is who you actually become. John and Kelly talk about how the subconscious mind is either your greatest asset or your greatest nemesis in life. And it’s your choice. It’s your greatest nemesis in life because you’re innately wired for survival. Which causes you to be fear-based and reactive. So if you don’t do anything to override being wired for survival, your subconscious mind is your greatest nemesis in life.   • The Bubble Up Effect: How This 12 Minute A Day Technique Works

    In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John share something he has become enlightened to over the last few months. It’s creating a moniker, a bumper sticker for essentially how the think it be it methodology works. And John calls it the bubble up effect. John gives an example in his marriage. So each day, off John and Ginger go. Then around dinner time they reconvene. Now keep in mind, John starts his day by reading his life GPS template. He reads two key things about his marriage. He articulates that he is flexible patient and thoughtful. And describes what those things mean relative to his relationship.

    Then he also articulates that Ginger is different than he is. She does things slow and is people oriented. John does things fast and his task oriented. Around 6 PM Ginger starts to prepare dinner. In her world, everything has to be perfect. Napkins out, everything perfect. But in John’s world, he’s thinking, and keep in mind he’s only thinking this, let’s eat. Your boy is hungry. Put the food on the table. But what happens is at the first hint of impatience, an unconscious thought bubbles up to John’s conscious mind. John, here’s an opportunity to be patient. So what does he do? He’s patient. Because of reading his life GPS template each day is creating that bubble up effect at the first hint of impatience.

    John gives another example in his career. One of the things the articulates to himself each morning is the three things that move the needle in his career. And the effect is at the first hint of feeling unproductive or off in the weeds, an unconscious thought bubbles up to his conscious mind to take control of what he’s doing and now intelligently focus on what moves the needle. Another example is health. He articulates in his life GPS template’s rules for eating healthy. And then at the first hint of hunger each day, an unconscious thought bubbles up to his conscious mind to make the healthy choice. Resisting the autopilot response of potentially eating unhealthy based on the stress of the moment. But the point of this entire podcast is to convey this concept, this moniker, this bumper sticker for how the think it be it methodology works. It’s called the bubble up effect.

You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you sink to the level of your systems. As John explains, the think it be it methodology is a combination of various systems . A system for controlling your actions. It’s a system for controlling your mindset. Then there is the technique of setting aside time each week to just think. To deep think. It’s a system for thinking.

    The think it be it methodology also has a system for being a conduit of learning. Using podcasts. It’s a system for growing. And then there’s the think it be it daily and weekly to do system. A system for being organized. And during this podcast John and Kelly talk about how most people are not growing intellectually. In fact, the average person doesn’t read three books rest their life after they graduate from college. An amazing statistic. And most people have no system for mindset and a poor system for being organized. That’s why when you have strong systems for these various things, success is easy. Because the bar is so low with other people.
