“We were walking across a field in heaven, when a little boy walked up to me, said, ‘Hi, my name is Daniel. I think that you’re my dad.’ He told me that he had been here for a long, long time. I've grown up here with a bunch of others, since we were little babies. Indeed, many years before, my wife had a miscarriage of a baby that we were going to call Daniel.”

In 2021, COVID nearly took Steve Boyls’ life. His odds of survival were slim—15 to 20 percent—and he slipped into a coma for 21 days, on a ventilator for 45. His wife, Kathy, a doctor, knew exactly how bad it was, but because of hospital restrictions, she couldn’t visit, even to hold his hand, for 20 days.

While Kathy was fighting on earth, Steve was being carried by his angel into heaven’s throne room. He stood before Jesus and the Father. He saw war horses being trained for the end times, shared heavenly food, reunited with loved ones—including a son, Daniel, lost through miscarriage—and was taught truths he had never even wanted to read about. He returned with a new mission and a book titled, I’ve Been to Heaven.

Samantha came to God with raw and painful questions. Through tears she asked if her dog was in heaven. She pleaded to know where her father was in the afterlife. In desperation, she even begged for help breaking into her boyfriend’s phone to confirm what she feared—that he was cheating.

And yet, God answered. In ways she could not forget, He revealed His presence and His love.

“In my battle with alcohol, I felt like there was something with barbed hooks attached to my chest. I cried out to God, "please don't let me die."

Josh just wanted to make music. As a kid, the dream was to be in a band. But then life collapsed — his parents split, alcohol took over, and older women pulled him further off course.

Along with the drinking came something darker — a clutching at his chest that felt like barbed hooks haunted him for decades. He believed if it ever let go, he would die. Then came the shock I can relate to, blindness in his mid-20s. Like me, Josh has retinitis pigmentosa. It drove him back to the bottle.

But, this is touched by Heaven, which means the story doesn’t end there. Two years ago, a tiny prayer snowballed into the miracle that made Josh — in his words — the happiest blind man you’ll ever meet.

The doctor said, “The vision in your bad eye has gone from 20/100 to 20/10. And the other eye has gone from 20/40 to 20/20.” Stunned, he asked, “How did this happen?”

I’ve known Ginny Pippin for nearly 20 years, but nothing prepared me for the story she shares in this episode.

While attending a training class at the Encounter School of Ministry, Ginny sat before the tabernacle as her classmates practiced prayers for inner and physical healing. One student, simply following a script, asked if she wanted prayer for anything else. Ginny quietly said, “Yes—my vision.” What her classmate didn’t know was that a botched cataract surgery had left Ginny with severely compromised eyesight.

In this episode, Ginny explains the dramatic moments that followed.

This miracle is only part of Ginny’s story. Years earlier, while teaching the Ignatian Exercises, she endured a dark night of the soul—believing there was no God. She shares the powerful moment that lifted her from that despair, and how the same God later restored her sight.
