Since the founding of the United States of America, there has been a divide between the powers of the federal government and the local state government. Today, we discuss our rights as the people with the 9th amendment while also discussing the 10th amendment, concerning states' rights.
9th Amendment
"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."
10th Amendment
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
