After being thrown into a new world, Virgil Carverson has to deal with lost memories while fighting to stay alive and making heavy moral decisions. With few options, he and his aunt are thrust into the interstellar Vruqing Empire spread across five planets and six countries, depending on how you count them. Here, he must reconcile his limited knowledge with a new world and adapt to a universe where the face of evil wears a magical mask.
