  • THE FLORIDA PANTHERS ARE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!! (6/26/24)
    2024/06/26

THE FLORIDA PANTHERS ARE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS and Ken and Zach are AMPED! Watching the Cats find a way to overcome blowing their 3-0 lead and figure out how to win Game 7 over the Edmonton Oilers is astonishing. Sergei Bobrovsky's mental fortitude to fight off his struggles and return to dominant form in the biggest game of his life inspired Ken. Zach is still thinking about "what if?" the Panthers collapsed, but it doesn't matter know, because in his words: "Canada, suck it and take it". You can't help but be thrilled for Paul Maurice, whose on-ice interview with the Stanley Cup might have been the most poignant moment of the night. Connor McDavid: Did he make the right decision not accepting to Conn Smythe Award? We know that Aleksander Barkov is the best defenseman in the NHL, but is he now one of the greatest athletes in South Florida sports history? As for Matthew Tkachuk and the Cup in the Atlantic Ocean? Priceless. And if Canada doesn't like it, too bad. Anyone poking fun at the size of the Panthers fan base is just hugely jealous. Suck it and take it, Canada hockey folks, eh?

00:00 How did the Panthers regroup? 17:25 Sergei Bobrovsky is a legend 21:30 Connor McDavid did right thing w/ Conn Smythe 27:18 God Bless Paul Maurice 30:00 Paul Maurice now SoFla coaching icon 42:15 Aleksander Barkov now on level with Marino, Wade 49:30 Ken criticizes Elbo Room 54:30 Sam Reinhart's profound Panthers declaration 59:00 U MAD, Candians?

  • NBA season is FINALLY over, the Tatum paradox, Tua insults & DOUGHNUT RANKINGS!
    2024/06/18

Finally, a long, forgettable NBA season is over. It's not just that the hated Boston Celtics won the title, it's that the season just kind of sucked. As for the Celtics, there's just no personality to latch onto. The team is filled with really weird dudes, including Jayson Tatum, whose Gen Z demeanor is just too corny to stomach, even if his game is unfairly criticized. Also, the Celtics partying in Miami? Any self-respecting Bostonian should be downright offended. Ken and Zach are nervous about the Florida Panthers and their ability to finish off the Edmonton Oilers. Ken is hoping that the loyal, long-standing Cats fans get their moment of glory. Then there's Tua Tagovailoa. Ken has observed that the anti-Tua contingent likes to tell us why other quarterbacks are better, then lob an insult, but never actually give proof as to why that quarterback is better. Finally, Tyreek Hill is having a doughnut for the first time at 30 years old? How is that possible for the Dolphins wide receiver? That leads Ken and Zach into a Top 5 doughnut ranking.

  • Caitlin Clark Olympic snub, dominant Celtics, hockey fears and mini-golf love! l (6/10/24)
    2024/06/10

Zach is back from Boy's Weekend and he is...surviving. The boys agree that age 25 is when nature tells you that hangovers are not sustainable. Caitlin Clark not being named to USA Basketball for the Olympics in Paris has people in a frenzy...again. Ken thinks CC's fans are a cult, Zach admits he wants her on the Olympic team because she's all he cares about in women's hoops. Speaking of hoops, the Celtics are just deeper and better than the Mavericks. Boston is crushing Dallas and Jayson Tatum doesn't need to be a superstar to win his first ring. And that's just fine. Thank God for Sergei Bobrovsky. He's why the Florida Panthers beat the terrifying Edmonton Oilers to begin the Stanley Cup Final. Watching the Oilers skate...it's a nightmare. Long overdue, it's time to give miniature golf its flowers. What an underappreciated sport that needs more adult-only options. Give us a challenge.

  • We have lost our damn minds in sports! Caitlin Clark & other brain rot (6/4/24)
    2024/06/04

Ken and Zach swap stories about the late legend Howard Schnellenberger, and also scold the College Football Hall of Fame for not considering him for induction. Caitlin Clark has made people absolutely lose their minds after the Indiana Fever - Chicago Sky hipcheck fiasco. The exaggerated reaction comes off as racist...but maybe more sexist. Pat McAfee and his "white bitch" comment about Clark is all-time dumb, while Stephen A. Smith taking credit for the careers of his women First Take contributors is extremely disrespectful. The Edmonton Oilers rally song is wildly corny as the Florida Panthers prepare for a Stanley Cup Final where, once again, the TV media presenting it will be pulling hard for the opponent, specificaly Connor McDavid and Edmonton. We have more Panthers geography controversy, as another prominent media members wonders why he's receiving pushback when declaring the Panthers are in Miami. Finally, Dr. Pepper is the new No. 2 soda. Ken and Zach know nobody who drinks Dr. Pepper regularly. They rank their favorite sodas.

  • Tua's terrible contract & other sports nightmares (5/31/24)
    2024/05/31

Ken and Zach open the show discussing their bizarre dreaming patterns. Before they dig in, the guys bask in the success of the Florida Panthers Game 5 win. Who would you rather start a franchise with: Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown or Luka Doncic/Kyrie Irving? Ken and Zach aren't even sure it's a debate: Luka/Kyrie. Stephen A Smith calling Kawhi Leonard a "nightmare" got Ken thinking about personal sports nightmares. After detailing the Cubs 2016 World Series as his living nightmare, Ken details why the constant, speculative nature of Tua's media orbit, especially in a contract time, is a total nightmare. The guys also pick out the most notable recent nightmares of the Heat, Panthers, Marlins & Dolphins. Ken and Zach are pumped for the NBA Finals and grade their excitement for the series. The SEC is starting a reality documentary show. What would an ACC version be called? The guys take listener suggestions. A social media post about the "insane" location of the Panthers' Amerant Arena inspires to boys to rank the accessibility of each South Florida sports venue. Finally, Ken debuts his puppy to the world.

  • The most ANNOYING thing in sports right now (5/28/24)
    2024/05/28

Zach starts the show by telling the story of getting his jaw broken in a fight and having his bouncer career ended. 0:00 The New York Rangers are absolutely stealing the series from a MUCH better Florida Panthers team. 10:25 A listener asks...are the Miami Heat "small-market?" 19:15 The Boston Celtics are facing fraud allegations over their injury-riddled path to the NBA Finals. Is their playoff march tainted? 25:30 Also, which teams do you despise so much that you'd root for a Satan-led team of hellish demons over them? 42:14 The Caitlin Clark WNBA discourse has become a race discussion and it didn't need to be this way. 53:20 ESPN's Dan Orlovsky appears to blame the media for Kyrie Irving's very Kyrie-caused problems in Boston and Brooklyn. 1:06:35 An interesting theory as to why the Dolphins struggle in the cold under Mike McDaniel 1:12:48...and what the hell is going on with these cicadas THAT PEOPLE ARE EATING! 1:21:20

  • Florida Gators are BROKE, Randy Moller talks Panthers & Wheel of Fortune facepalm! (5/24/24)
    2024/05/24

Regardless of what happens with Jaden Rashada's lawsuit vs. Florida, Billy Napier and Florida Gators football are absolutely SCREWED in this NIL era of college football. 16:30 Freaking Panthers legend Randy Moller joins the boys to discuss the Florida Panthers domination of the New York Rangers in Game 1 and dissects the Cats' quest for the Stanley Cup. 54:25 It hurts to admit, but Paul Pierce might be right about Kyrie Irving & Luka Doncic being the best offensive duo in NBA history. 59:30 Also, Kyrie Irving's career re-birth with the Dallas Mavericks has been a marvel to watch, as his leadership ability is on full display. 1:13:40 Speaking of duos, who is South Florida's top sports duo? Tua Tagovailoa & Tyreek Hill, Matthew Tkachuk & Alexander Barkov, Jimmy Butler & Bam Adebayo or Lionel Messi & Luis Suarez? 1:20:20 Wheel of Fortune got SUPER XXX-rated...but so did Ken, unintentionally, in his last soccer broadcast. 1:33:45 Finally, who knows where teams call home better...or worse: Bill Simmons or Zach Krantz? Zach plays our new game...SPORTS GEOGRAPHY!

  • ESPN FAILS, Tua panic & what the HELL is wrong with Boston?
    2024/05/20

ESPN embarrassed itself and disrespected basketball fans (and sports fans as a whole) by using their most visible personality, Stephen A. Smith, to cheerlead for the Knicks before Game 7 Knicks-Pacers. Ken thinks he may being lying to himself by thinking ESPN still sets the sports standard. Also, if Jalen Brunson says the Knicks season wasn't a success, it wasn't a success. Tua Tagovailoa and his contract have NFL media reporting the smallest news as massive news and Dolphins fans need to take their valium and chill. Ken discovered that Boston Bruins fans are the absolute lowest life form last week, while the boys unearthed the NFL's evil TV plan by bringing Netflix into the mix. Zach is excited for the new EA Sports college football game, but there's one problem...he owns a PlayStation from the late 90's. Finally, Ken and Zach take responses to when sports fans realized they were lying to themselves!
