Greg Twemlow's article on Medium explores the potential for agentic AI to understand and fulfill people's latent needs, even those people aren't aware of. Twemlow argues that traditional AI, which simply responds to commands, will be surpassed by agentic AI, which will anticipate needs and generate solutions based on context. He uses Clayton Christensen's "Jobs to Be Done" theory as a framework for understanding how people "hire" products and services to solve specific problems. Twemlow then proposes Quoria AI Agent©, a system designed to proactively identify and address unarticulated needs by creating contexts that reveal latent desires, much like a friend who knows when to recommend a good book.
