サマリー
あらすじ・解説
In this episode, we dive into the chaotic period in Virginia's history following Bacon's Rebellion. People were rioting to control tobacco prices while Governor Culpeper was fired for his ineffective leadership. Governor Howard replaced him, immediately clashing with the Assembly over their right to hear appeals, leading to secret letters and punishments. Tensions rose between the Assembly and the new Governor Howard until he finally got the king to dismiss the entire Assembly. Issues between the Assembly and the governor continued after this with the governor and king further stripping away the Assembly's autonomy.
