Today we are pleased to bring you our good friend Chaz Johnson! Chaz is a bjj black belt, coach, and husband/father. Having had an interest in martial arts early on in life, Chaz was able to pool his more negative emotions into the discipline specifically of bjj. Eventually, this had him looking at his corporate job and feeling unfulfilled. He would leave that job, DoorDash, and build/maintain websites all in the pursuit of giving his family an intense example of what building you dream life looks like when you do what you're passionate about.

Having grown up in California, Tamara was notes that she's always had a huge love for ice cream and that when budgets were tight - her family would actually make their own. This became somewhat of a communal event as huge family dinners would see all members of their local area popping in and out to enjoy times with good desserts and better people. After establishing herself as a professional, she decided on a whim to leave her salaried career and cash out her 401k and open her own ice cream establishment right here in STL! Now with ten locations and lots of expansion on the way, Tamara's story inspires us not only as St. Louis natives but as business owners - serving as a reminder that great businesses don't just make money - they change lives!

In today's episode we'd like to say thank you to Steve Geurin for saving the day and filling this time for us in this episode while we were remote in Nashville! Steve's story is very relatable, as it takes place with a kid trying to find himself in martial arts. Having done karate with a firm love for striking, he would eventually do an extended stay out in Thailand for a few months to practice Mauy Thai and kickboxing with the locals. This set him up to go full on into his love for the medical field where he still operates today to provide for his wife and kids. Full of faith and a strong heart for leading his family, we were BLESSED to sit down with Steve!
