This is the talk from our 10:45 service on 2nd February 2024. The reading was from Jeremiah 17: 1-14. In this Eco Church Sunday talk, Neil shows how God uses pictures from creation throughout the Bible to instruct and challenge his people. When humanity fails to care for God's creation, there are severe consequences. Jeremiah warns that those who turn away from God will end up in a spiritual wasteland. However, there is hope when we put our trust in the Lord. The church has a prophetic role to wake people up to treasure God's creation. We have a choice - to selfishly trash the planet, or to love God, love his creation and work to protect it.
