Pete Reginella is a natural creative who has weathered multiple career pivots while balancing family responsibilities and personal challenges. As a child, he always carried a sketchbook, finding joy in art and music until missing entry into a Disney animation program by half a percent in math crushed his artistic dreams.
This setback led Pete down an unexpected path to automotive mechanics when he became a father at just 20. For the next 21 years, he excelled in this field, eventually being recognized as one of Canada's top mechanics. Throughout this time, Pete maintained a punishing schedule, often working multiple jobs simultaneously to support his growing family.
When COVID-19 hit, Pete's income as a commission-based mechanic collapsed as fewer cars needed servicing. This crisis sparked exploration of various online businesses—from print-on-demand to Amazon FBA—all while maintaining his full-time job. The stress of juggling multiple ventures ultimately cost him his primary employment.
Personal tragedy struck alongside professional upheaval. Within a whirlwind six-week period that included losing his beloved dog and facing financial uncertainty, Pete suffered a heart attack at 37. This health crisis, stemming partly from an undiagnosed blood disorder, forced him to reconsider his lifelong pattern of overwork.
Today, Pete has rediscovered creativity through copywriting, "painting with words" instead of on canvas. He's building an email-based business sharing engaging stories while helping others with their marketing needs. Though still battling his tendency to overwork, Pete dreams of reclaiming his artistic pursuits—fishing more, playing bass guitar again, and returning to visual art.
