Stuck (time-travel adventure stories)

Imagine visiting another time in history and getting stuck there! The first book in the Stuck series, Stuck (In Time) blends adventure, history, and time travel. The three Baxter children - twins Robert and James and their sister, Lucy - use their individual strengths to work together and get themselves out of a string of scrapes.

With the help of Uncle Archie, this time they travel back to the 16th century. To begin with, all goes smoothly, but then a series of dramatic events means they become separated - then stuck! Robert, James, and Lucy are resourceful children and have to learn to adapt to their circumstances and work both individually and as a team to find a solution to their difficulties. Along the way, they meet several historical figures from the Elizabethan period, including the most famous and important person of them all.

They had a plan, but it didn't include getting stuck in the 19th century! In this stand-alone adventure, Robert, James, and Lucy Baxter travel to the 19th century on an important mission, starting by befriending a young Charles Dickens. If the children fail, it could prove fatal for one of them. They have to work as a team to find a way through their problems, especially as once again they find themselves stuck, without the means to get home. At that point, Lucy realizes she needs to step up and take control, or all will be lost!

Lucy Baxter is at the forefront in this stand-alone novella. She imagines she is simply going to take up the position of companion to a young Victorian girl in genteel London, but very quickly, events move out of her control, and she finds herself on a journey that she could not have imagined. Separated from her brothers, she is forced to make decisions based only on her own moral code, and hope they will lead her to safety and success.

This stand-alone novella begins with the Baxter children attending a concert by the most famous pop group of all time: The Beatles. England in the 1960s is a world more familiar to the children than other eras they have visited. However, not everything goes to plan, and Robert, James, and Lucy discover that Uncle Archie can't help them. Not only that - this time, it's not just their own well-being that is at risk!
