Gabriel Douglas walks away from the world he ruled to find peace and solitude on a distant island. Disgusted with his own actions, which shattered a relationship, he embarks on a self-destructive downward spiral of too much vodka and remorse. Even in the remote place he chose, salvation is at hand in the form of a local girl who can see behind the mask he presents. She starts the healing process and brings him happiness, but the world he left behind is determined to drag him back. Try as he might, he comes to realize that the darkness within him will never leave him alone....

With the arrival of Elsa into his life, Gabriel feels the healing process has started. He makes changes to his island, to finally get back into shape, and leaves behind the demons in the bottle.
