The New Jersey Devils defeated the reining Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers 4-1. The Panthers are first in the Atlantic Division and were riding a seven-game winning streak entering this matchup. It wasn't easy, but the Devils were able to neutralize an aggressive Panthers team. The Devils will play the Panthers once again on Thursday and then travel to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
