She has won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Program and the 2023 Slow Wine Fair International Award for Best Italian Wine Selection. Knighted by the Italian government, she received the "Cavaliere dell’Ordine Della Stella Italia" distinction. Her third book, Italian Wine, was published in August 2023. Shelley co-founded Tansy Wines in 2021, focusing on Italian varietals and organic vineyards. She’s featured in top publications and serves on several boards.
