あらすじ・解説
In this older woman, younger man romance, Rachel Drake, the older woman, is a seasoned war journalist making her living in Portland, Oregon as a special features writer for a small weekly paper. On her first celebrity interview, sparks fly as she tries to interview Renny Taylor, a very handsome country-rock musician 15 years her junior.
As they exchange witty banter and encounter a clash of wills it becomes clear that Renny is starstruck meeting Rachel. He has followed her career from afar as she reported from Iraq and Afghanistan and won a Pulitzer. He agreed to be interviewed just so he could meet her. This is clearly a novel situation for Rachel in more ways than one. Having forgone any romantic relationship for years she is now faced with a man she can’t say no to, and doesn’t want to.
