このコンテンツについて
How to Succeed at Self Publishing While Failing should be used as a source of realistic motivation - a guide to show you that the publishing business is exactly that. A business. This isn’t a get rich scheme where you’ll throw up some poorly written trash and expect to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in return.
This is a business that you’ll have to work every day in. Nothing will come easy. Every free book given away, every royalty you’ll earn, and every word you write will have to come with work.
You’ll have to invest money in this business. Everything has a cost attached to it. Even with the fact that the publishing business is relatively cheap to start you’ll still need to invest a little cash. You’ll need to pay for cover design, Adobe Photoshop, advertisements, editors, mailing lists, web hosting, and other miscellaneous expenses. It won’t require thousands of dollars but you should be aware that there is a monetary cost involved in this business.
The posts read as quick thoughts on my progress, with a monthly income report attached to each month. I cover what I accomplished, what I was supposed to do, and what my goals are for the next month. I also break down the amount of royalties generated by each title, along with the expenses for the month and any other information that could be considered important.
There are some non-income related posts included as well. These posts are equally important as the self-publishing business has its own nuances that must be noted. When necessary I discuss these nuances along with my personal experiences in the field.
