あらすじ・解説

With major American religious leaders Cardinal Avery Dulles, Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold, Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm, and Rabbi Eugene Korn, we explore the differences and similarities of the two religions and to what extent pluralism is possible. This program compares past Jewish-Christian Relations with those of the modern world and discusses whether Jews and Christians have united in order to stop the recent threat of Islamist fanaticism.

Audible制作部より

In this 92nd Street Y panel discussion from 2003, leaders of the Jewish, Catholic, and Episcopal communities talk fraternally, not theologically, about religious pluralism and appreciation. Rabbi Eugene Korn moderates the interfaith dialogue that includes the late Cardinal Avery Dulles, Presiding Bishop Frank T. Griswold, and Rabbi Norman Lamm. The subtitle of this conversation is "From Contention to Cooperation", and these men certainly relate to each other openly and generously rather than divisively. They point out that interfaith dialogues first and foremost require faith and that embracing pluralism is not synonymous with religious indifference. This cerebral and brotherly discussion is fitting for the 92nd Street Y, which was established in 1874 as a Jewish community center.
