My Prodigal Son and Our Journey Together is a book written by the father of his son, Michael, who earnestly tried but failed to beat alcohol and drug addiction. Michael had everything – looks, brains, athleticism, a great sense of humor, was a musician, had so many friends, and so much more. He had everything until he lost it all to something he thought he could beat.
  

The book describes how his son struggled to get back what he lost, but it was too late when he realized he had been robbed of everything that mattered to him. He reached the “point of no return.”
