  • Ian McGregor is a stalwart of the market research industry in Australia. He established McGregor Marketing in 1976, making it one of the pioneers in qualitative research in the country. Along with his wife and co-director Karen, Ian led McGregor Marketing to become Australia's sixth-largest market research firm and the first to secure work via a website in 1996.Originally from Cornwall, UK, Ian's career began in investment banking. His determination and adaptability led him to transition to the marketing industry, a move that took him to Adelaide, South Australia, for a work assignment. Falling in love with the country, Ian and Karen decided to settle there and started McGregor Marketing, which they operated for many years. In 2001, they sold the business and retired.
