#2 - Naming It: The Show, Our Fears, and (Trying to Pronounce) Scotch Whiskeys

  • サマリー

  • Episode 2 is actually the fourth episode Caleb, Chris, and Mark recorded. The group recorded two episodes on ADHD, but felt like this discussion would give helpful context for those discussions and where each are coming from. In this episode, the trio discusses the meaning behind "AND" as well as its importance in personal growth and having helpful conversations. Then, each take time to reflect on not only the recordings thus far, but also get candid about their underlying motives and fears within how they present themselves. It's vulnerable and raw, but it's aided by particular beverages, so it's a little less scary.

    Meet the Therapists:

Caleb Elder is an avid hiker and audiobooker who enjoys making killer cocktails and bad jokes. Professionally, Caleb works at a small group practice specializing in teens and young adults, neurodiversity and career development.

Chris Renick is a DIY kind of guy who enjoys roasting coffee, building Harry Potter Lego sets, reading books, and spending time with his family in the mountains. Professionally, Chris works primarily with young adults from an existential lens. So what is an existential lens? Your choice.

Mark Cadlaon is a lifelong (and currently sad) Ferrari Formula 1 fan, but distracts himself with cycling, travel, and color-coordinating his books. Professionally, Mark works in private practice counseling and neurofeedback, specializing in young adults, life transitions, anxiety, and burnout.

    About the Show:

AND is a mental health-focused podcast taken from the perspective of three male therapists based in Denver, Colorado. AND is a safe space to explore and consider ideas from multiple (and sometimes opposing) perspectives. The space may not always feel comfortable, but by humbly holding space for one another and learning from each other’s wisdom & experience, we can be challenged to expand our own understanding as well as gain further appreciation for differing points of view.
