Tonight I'm talking with Paul Hynek. Paul Hynek is the youngest son of the late Dr. J. Allen Hynek, an astronomer who worked with the U.S. Air Force investigating UFO cases from the beginning and the actual person behind the HISTORY Channel’s recent series Project Blue Book, based on a real project to investigate UFOs from 1952 to 1969. A character based on J. Allen Hynek is the lead character in the series. Paul’s father began his investigation with USAF as a skeptic, but by the time Blue Book ended, he was convinced some UFO cases posed a real mystery.

Paul Hynek, Chief Financial Officer, has decades of experience in finance, technology, cryptocurrency, and entertainment. Paul is a Wharton MBA, an adjunct professor of Accounting and Finance at Pepperdine University, and the creator of startup financial projections software that has raised over $1.5 billion for thousands of startups.

He works with numerous startups as either a board member, advisor, or part-time CFO and helps numerous early- and mid-stage companies and nonprofits manage their accounting, finance, HR, and investor and donor relations. In addition to his MBA, Paul has a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania’s Joseph H. Lauder Institute, and a BA in French from the University of Illinois.
