The release of this episode, on February 10th, 2025 will mark a devastating milestone. The 35th Anniversary of possibly the most horrific crime the state of New Mexico has ever seen. Early on a Saturday morning, the community of Las Cruces New Mexico would have its sense of safety and serenity shattered forever, when two gunman entered a family-owned small business and gunned down seven people execution style. Miraculously, there were survivors, including a brave 12 year old girl who found the courage to call for help and save others, despite being critically wounded herself.
While this case has had a bit more news coverage than some of the others cases I have covered, it hasn’t amounted to answers. In fact, there have never even been named suspects. My hope is that in honoring the lives lost and changed forever in this senseless act of violence, the conversation will continue and someone who knows something will come forward.
