  • Alright. We said we were making a podcast comeback before, and then… we disappeared again. But this time? It’s real. It’s happening. It’s waiting for you right now.

    I wanted this first episode back to feel like a reset—something light, fun, and like you’re just hanging out with friends who get your nerdy obsession with photography.

    So I called in Rachel Burns—a wildly talented motherhood + brand photographer, (TPP & Flash Course Alumni), and one of my good friends.

    She’s built a career that blends storytelling, emotion, and real life, the kind of work that makes you feel something. Whether she’s photographing families or brands, she captures the in-between sun soaked moments that bring images to life.

    And recently? She made her dream shoot in Hawaii happen—pitching brands, making connections, and pulling it off in the most incredible way.

    In this episode we talk all about how to pitch brands for travel shoots (because yes, you can get paid to shoot in dream destinations), but we also cover some very important topics, like:

    • The great eyebrow catastrophe of 2025

    • My own personal armpit disaster, which was both painful and humbling.

    • The chaos of motherhood, the reality of balance (or lack thereof), and the questionable fashion choices we make daily.

    Basically, this episode is an invitation to just laugh, dream big, and hang out with us.
