Exposure to these chemicals can also increase the risk of birth defects and other health problems. In June of 2022, the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2021 was passed, which was part of the more broad “Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act. The PACT Act focuses on addressing issues that affect veterans exposed to toxic materials during service, wiht the CLJA affecting specifically those stationed at Camp Lejeune from August 1st of 1953 through Dec 31st of 1987.
