I went beyond Eurodance in these sets and threw in some borderline House Classics like Enigma's Sadness, 49er's Don't You Love Me, The Original I Luv You Baby, etc. that had the same appeal and fit nicely in between the obvious Eurodance Classics by 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor Never Alone, Le Click Tonight Is the Night, La Bouche Sweet Dreams as well as others. What sets this apart from its predecessors is the inclusion of Techno which is where classics like Abigail's Constant Craving (remake of the K.D. Lang classic), Friends of Carlota Fingerfoc, The KLF Justified and Ancient and the massive underground track that's like a gift that keeps on giving Give It Up by the Goodmen, which lay the groundwork for a massive party mix. We've got some garage classics by Arman Van Helden (Spin Spin Sugar and Professional Widow) who frankly had such a massive influence on House Music during the era that his contribution to the scene is often overlooked. Most importantly, I have a significant amount of cheese sprinkled throughout these two sets. Aqua's Barbie Girl made the cut while crap like Bloodhound Gang's The Bad Touch was left to the dustbin's of house music history. While Macarena by Los Del Rio Boys didn't make the cut, you can't discount its influence today on massive hits like Despacito by Luis Fonsi and more recently Mi Gente by J Balvin & Willy William. As corny as it sometimes came across, the drop-in raps have been left in place as they make up a significant portion in the history of the 90's House Music Classics. If you love this, you'll equally enjoy pt. 2 dropping on Friday. From there, I'll be heading into straight-up house territory with one new release every other day. This was a massive undertaking but definitely worthwhile. With the exception of the David Morales and Simply Red Legacy tributes, I hadn't really updated the Dance Classics section in a while. After having previewed each one several times, I'm glad I did and am pretty certain many of you will be as well. That's all I got for your mid-week hump. I'll be back in a couple of days. Until then...ENJOY! Album: 90's House, Techno & Eurodance Classics pt. 1Genre: House Music, Techno, Eurodance, Garage HouseYear: 2017Total Time: 2:13:56 1.
