  • サマリー

  • In this week's episode I talk to Dani Burke, a survivor of domestic abuse. Dani talks about her experience in her abusive relationship and life following abuse. She is a true survivor and shares her tips and advice on how to stay safe, how to plan to leave and how to flourish in your new life.

    About Dani:

I am Dani Burke and I am 41 and from Rochdale, I’m a mum a business owner and Artist but more importantly a survivor . I have faced many challenges throughout my 41 years including sexual abuse, fleeing from a domestic violent relationship and cancer. I have overcome an heavy independency on drink and drug and suffered with poor mental health throughout the years to a point where I’ve been hospitalised on numerous occasions . I want to tell my story to inspire women to show women if I can do it so can you if I can gain the strength and turn my life around then you can also and I am not ashamed of my story because it’s made me who I am today and part of me Sure it’s hard and uncomfortable and at time and in some parts I’m ashamed of my story but the importance of raising awareness and helping others outweighs that and it’s important to tell others if I can do it so can you.
