  • Cornwall Mind - World Mental Health Day 2024

    Francesca, Julie and Gaelle host this month’s special programme for World Mental Health Day taking place on Thursday 10th October.

    This is also the first time the show is being produced by the Cornwall Mind radio wellbeing group from the CHBN studios at Treliske Hospital in Truro.

    Francesca tells us about Makaton, the language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate. She also explains about Safe Places.

  • Birmingham Mind - World Mental Health Day 2024

    This is a special edition of ‘A Space to Speak Your Mind’ produced in association with Birmingham Mind for World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10th October.

    On the programme Richard speaks to Rachel about services that Birmingham Mind provide, Amelia and Charmian talk about their work as Volunteers on the Birmingham Mind helpline.


    Ronald explains what it means to be a Peer Support Worker; and Daniel tells us what it is like to be a resident at Rookery Gardens, a unique service in partnership with Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust, where residents live on site within NHS of grounds, in independent houses located next to main hospital building.
