Dr. Mader is a renowned board-certified veterinarian in zoological medicine and author of multiple books including the textbook "Mader's Reptile and Amphibian Medicine and Surgery", and his new book "The Vet at Noah’s Ark". On this episode, Dr. Mader will discuss nutritional diseases in reptiles, focusing on nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism (one of the metabolic bone diseases) and hypovitaminosis A.     On this segment of "Speak Up for a Species" here on A Walk on the Wild Side, we are highlighting the critically endangered Amur Leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis). Listen in as host Dr. Kyle Kansman, DVM, a current veterinary intern at Colorado State University, talks about the Amur Leopard, the threats against their population, and what is being done to save this critically endangered species.  At the end of the episode, Dr. Kans brings back "Fact or Fiction", a fun true or false game for you to test your leopard knowledge.
