    So you thought the madness of the Coastal Division would slip away into the darkness of night in ACC college football? Au contraire conference fans, it has merely spread out among all the teams and now we have a bit of a horse race on our hands headed into the final weeks of the regular season. Let's be frank. It was becoming a bit boring having the same teams dominate the conference year after year so embrace the crazy. Ranking ACC Football | Week 11 Upsets And Surprises Will and Jim take a look at this past weekend's games and discuss the impact of upsets and a few surprises as well. The guys then move on to the coming week in college football and what they see may be happening as the regular season edges closer to the end. Neither is overly pleased with how the ACC has been labeled and treated when it comes to rankings. A heads up, the second CFP college football rankings are out Tuesday night and even though there shouldn't be major changes, if there is we'll move closer to the truth about how teams are selected. College Football There's lots of other sports action going on in the ACC as fall sports begin to wrap up. The NCAA has moved the Single and Doubles championships to the fall while keeping the team championship action in the spring. This week we'll see the NCAA Cross Country Championships, the beginning of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championships and the conclusion of the ACC Men's Soccer Championship. Also on the slate if NCAA Field Hockey Championship play and the latest AP men's and women's basketball Top 25 rankings.     When looking at the college football scoreboard from this weekend you've got to ask yourself if voodoo is in play. The ACC certainly isn't what people expected this season. But this conference isn't the only one that is both shaken and stirred. The initial CFP 12 team rankings come out Tuesday, November 5 in what will be a string of many leading up to the final selection of worthy squads. Don't think for a moment that there isn't going to be some moans and groans on the other side of televisions. ACC Nation Football Ranking w/Will Ojanen Blowouts, train wrecks, upsets and more fill the bill with ACC college football action and there may be a few more this coming weekend. Will we see additional conference teams nabbing a bowl position this week? Seven teams are already qualified and there are a few others that are on the precipice with six wins possible by the end of the regular season. College Football Basketball is underway with a full menu of games for men and women tipping off on Monday, the first coming early with games in Paris for the women. There are several more games left and some matchups that could completely change the face of the conference by the time we hit the ACC Football Championship in Charlotte. As a reminder let's just say fans shouldn't get too far ahead of themselves yet when it comes to which teams will be in that game. College Football | Who’s On Top? Ranking The ACC 17 To 1 Will and Jim review Week 9 of ACC football action and have some important notes regarding each game and the performances of the teams. There are five teams that are bowl eligible at this point and a few may surprise you. Who's close? There are four more teams lined up and ready to clinch a post-season appearance. College Football What bowls might ACC teams be headed to? Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has a list of projected matchups for 12 of the 17 conference fanbases to begin to consider when it comes to travel plans. Don't pull the trigger on those just yet, though. Five ACC teams are bowl eligible with two on the cusp as a win this weekend would clinch a spot. Will and Jim look at the latest AP and Coaches' Polls, let you know when the first College Football Playoff rankings will be released and share Athlon Sports' thoughts on where conference teams may be 'bowling'. The college football regular season is more than halfway through. Look for more teams to pull out all the stops in the remaining weeks to help them grab a slice of the pie. We all took our eyes off of football as a major coaching change in men's basketball was announced right before the season. That press conference is available on ACC Nation Radio. Will shares some thoughts. College Football Conference championships are drawing near for cross country and we take a look at the latest rankings of ACC men's and women's teams. It was squirrelly enough to prompt Will to bring out the old favorite, Name That Tune to help explain each game. You'll get a broad stroke of musical tastes and very likely end up with an earworm that will haunt you for the rest of the week. College Basketball | SEC/ACC 2024 Challenge The guys go over all of the games and each of the oddities tied in with them. Speaking of, they could probably go on for several weeks about the refs in at least one if not most of the ACC for the calls and lack of calls. Don't get anyone here started on reviews. College Football What would college football be without the Top 25 rankings each week? Dare we say, better? The guys call out some questionable movement on the board.     What does Shama Lama Ding Dong have to do with ACC football Week 4? If ever there was a week in which conference football emulated the movie Animal House, this was it. You can have the pleasure of matching up the characters with the teams. Out of all the mayhem rides Miami, Louisville, Pitt and Duke with no losses on the season. Miami entertains Virginia Tech this week, Louisville travels to Notre Dame, Pitt takes the week off and Duke hosts North Carolina. An intriguing game on the schedule has Florida State showing up in Dallas to face off with SMU. Who's your favorite in that game? ACC Football Every season conference teams throw curve balls at people that cover sports for a living and then they deliver questionable forecasts about the anticipated success of an ACC football team. Believe none of what you hear and believe half of what you see. That's been attributed to both Ben Franklin and Edgar Allan Poe but similar statements extend to a Middle English saying thereby proving it to be correct.     Bada bing, bada boom and just like that ACC football is in Week 4. By now a normal person would have a hint as to which team is 'the team' in the conference. Sorry, apparently the ACC is short on normal people at present but that doesn't mean you can't give it your best shot. That's exactly what Will and Jim (far from normal) do in this episode of ACC Nation as they break down the latest college football action. The winners, the losers and the teams that didn't play all make for a fascinating mix. Maybe Week 4 will do the trick? That, of course remains to be seen. First up the guys review conference action before moving on to a quick tease of their Top 3 teams in the latest ACC Nation Power Poll. If you're looking for the Top 25 rankings they've got a look at the top 5 from the AP and Coaches' polls and the ACC+1 teams (for newbies, Notre Dame is included because of scheduling).     So, by now if you haven't responded to the wild first two weeks of ACC football by saying, 'What The Actual....' then perhaps you've turned into a zombie. We're doing our best to slip some Halloween references in before all the Christmas items hit the stores. Okay, time for a reality check on the ACC. You may remember us telling you on previous podcasts that the conference almost always turns upside down in opening weeks. The teams we expected to dominate and those we didn't swap spots and fans everywhere lose their minds. Even Paul Finebaum....wait, zombie...brains, never mind. Here's a solid for you. Most teams in the conference get off to slow starts before finding their way a few weeks in. The rankings don't mean diddle until about three to four weeks in and if you say you're going to eat the contents of a solo cup if your team loses then you're feet will be held to the fire. Just charge to watch so your medical bills will be covered. Will and Jim roll through the games of Week 1 with observations and thoughts on performances. Essentially one game isn't enough to give anyone a clear vision of how teams will be in the weeks to come. So, let's not get too worked up. Is there room for improvement? Always and count of the coaches and players putting in the time to up their game. ACC Football The guys tie a bow in Week 1 ACC football with a look at the latest rankings. There's some encouraging movement among the teams that won and Clemson hangs in there, rightfully so after a loss. Unfortunately, Florida State, with two back to back losses has completely departed the list of teams receiving votes this week. If Mike Norvell can steer the boat back into the channel the Noles can't be discounted moving forward. What's on the agenda for Week 2 of ACC football? Some great matchups in and out of conference. The guys share some quick observations about these games and the odds. They finish up with an interesting look at two coaches included among the Top 8 most likely to be fired first and the ACC teams that are putting butts in the seats and those that aren't.
