Hey everybody this week’s episode is focused on a broad overview of American Empire Building. We are focusing in the time period of 1800-1915 so the 19th century. Topic’s cover a wild variety of different events such as what is Imperialism at the time, Industrial growth in America ( markets/good), search for raw materials around same time as the civil war will begin to bubble and explode. The role Manifest Destiny played in emerging empire of America and the taking if the west, Khadija will focus on the Spanish American War that lasted 10 weeks in 1898 and I focus on annexation of Hawaii that same year July 1898-all in Americans quest for empire. We also touch on the capitalism of it all in terms of Dole and United Fruit and their role in American Imperialism…. Then to give our brain a nice palette cleanse, we will be chatting about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and their shenanigans as well as Miami and some others.
