During this journey they fall prey to the same narcissist abuse as their parent, and develop Cannabis induced Paranoid Schizophrenia. They find their solution in therapy: developing self-awareness, expanding their supports and taking their medication. In accepting their diagnosis and embracing themselves they find a stronger more intimate relationship with their family and find a beautifully supportive relationship with a new partner.
