    Detlef Schlich and Dirk Schlömer, of the newly formed band Wild Atlantic Way (WAW), have just concluded their West Cork Rocks 2024 Tour. Reflecting on their journey during the bus ride back, they share the highlights of their intense and creative experience. Their tour included a successful gig at the Oasis Art Café in Ballydehob for the Uganda Recording Studio Fundraiser, where they raised 340 euros and performed with additional musicians Aileen Becker and Thomas Wiegandt. The performances were dynamic and well-received despite some logistical challenges, like forgotten lyrics. The duo also recorded new tracks at Mick's White House café and explored the scenic Sheep's Head peninsula. Their journey was enriched by interactions with locals and fellow musicians, culminating in impromptu performances that captured the true spirit of Ireland.
