Are Black Sheep Lazy, Selfish, and Unsuccessful? 4 Black Sheep Myths & Who We Really Are

  • サマリー

  • In this episode, I wanted to talk about all the ways mainstream society characterizes black sheep.

We're often told that we're lazy, not serious, unsuccessful, selfish, "take the easy way out," inherently bad...the list goes on.

I wanted to make some time to chat about this on the pod because this characterization stops so many black sheep from realizing that they are black sheep (thus preventing them from healing their worthiness wounds).

These stereotypes are deeply inaccurate so I decided to set the record straight.

The 4 main stereotypes I'll talk about today are:

    1. Black sheep are unsuccessful in their careers and lives.

    2. Black sheep are out-of-control, constantly rebellious, and inherently bad.

    3. Black sheep are lazy, selfish, and "take the easy way out" in life.

    4. Black sheep lack social skills and don't know how society works.

I also touch on why it's so important for black sheep to make peace with being misunderstood and why the phrase "let them" has become a major part of my healing journey.
