Cassidy McCauley is the Canvas Connoisseur of London, turning the business of art into a journey of discovery. With eight years in marketing and event planning, she’s carved out a unique space where art meets strategy. From a bustling art scene in London to her roots in Japan, Cassidy’s story is as vibrant as her acrylic masterpieces. I explored Cassidy's work further in their interview and played the fast paced fun way of best getting to know Cassidy - The This or That game. Cassidy’s path was painted early on, from the days she spent honing her skills at the American School in Japan. Cassidy's talent for creating, connecting, and inspiring shone through. She continued to shape her artistic and leadership flair at Boston University, balancing her International Relations degree with managing the BU Fashion Club. Here, she was no mere member; as Creative Director, she reinvented fashion shows, doubling club membership and quadrupling show attendance with savvy marketing. After BU, Cassidy’s curiosity for the business side of art took her to Hult International Business School, where she earned a Master’s in International Business. Armed with a head for management and a heart for creativity, Cassidy returned to London with a refined vision: to craft experiences that inspire people, from art lovers to trauma survivors. At the heart of Cassidy’s work is her vision for art as a healing force. Inspired by her journey with trauma recovery, she is an advocate for using creative expression as a path toward healing. Cassidy’s workshops, known for their inviting vibe, are designed for everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned artists. Looking forward, she’s developing programmes aimed at trauma healing through art, ensuring that the transformative power of creativity is accessible to those who need it most. Since 2020, Cassidy has blossomed as an independent artist and freelance marketing consultant, blending her brush strokes with business acumen. Her works – rich, layered acrylic pieces that tell personal stories with roots in Japanese mythology – reflect her journey of self-discovery and healing. Not one to simply display her art, Cassidy regularly hosts art nights across London, drawing enthusiasts from all walks of life. These nights, held every second Wednesday of the month, bring strangers together to paint a communal canvas, backed by live music. Previously, as an Event Manager at LSE and Event Coordinator at My Kid Atelier, Cassidy refined her event planning prowess, creating memorable experiences that bring people together around art and ideas. Her latest role as Rebrand Project Manager for City, University of London, showcases her skills in strategic thinking and project management, adding a polished edge to her creative toolkit. Cassidy’s calendar is full of paint-and-sip nights, workshops, and a community celebration in December to reflect on shared artistic journeys. In every event and canvas, Cassidy McCauley captures not just colours and stories but a sense of belonging, healing, and vibrant possibility.
