"Send us a text and let us know how we're doing"
Bill is currently a 2nd degree Black Belt in BJJ under Mark Reding of Reding Martial Arts in Denton, TX. He was promoted in June 2016. He owns his own BJJ academy in Washington, IL, called Bill Henry Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He worked as a Strength and Conditioning/Athletic Performance Coach for nearly 20 years, holding certifications from the NSCA, ISSA, and NASM. He has been teaching BJJ since he was a Blue Belt. He has been training BJJ for roughly 24 years, with breaks for injuries and life, of course. He prefers gi over nogi, but he trains and teaches both. He had emergency intestine surgery in 2015, losing a foot of his small intestine, and was kept off the mats for 5 months. He spent 11 days in the hospital. One year to the day after he was released from the hospital, he competed in his first black belt tournament. His main health focus now is recovery so he can stay on the mats.
