    The NBA Playoffs are in full gear once again and it’s time to recap and look ahead to each series so far as well as update you on some news and updates in the basketball world with Coach James Young on this episode.

    On our Tip-Off Topics, a couple of college basketball news stories that dropped as Duke star Cooper Flagg announces that he is declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft, which is not a surprise to many. Let’s see who has the pleasure of drafting him #1 overall when the draft arrives. In addition, former UNC guard Ian Jackson reportedly transfers to St. John’s; a key addition to Rick Pitino’s roster. In the association, there was a front office change as the Hawks fired their general manager Landry Fields. Let’s see what happens during the offseason for this franchise. Furthermore, we recap each of Game 1s over the weekend of the NBA Playoffs.

    On our Award, the NBA released the finalist for each regular season award. Coach goes through the list and tells you who he thinks should win each of them, some picks may come as a shock.

    Lastly on Coach’s Scouting Report, as Game 2s of each series are going to play out this Tuesday and Wednesday, Coach updates the series odds for the three games taking place on both days. Some of the odds have changed pretty drastically.

    All of breaking news, recaps, and futures markets to look at on this episode with Coach James Young with the NBA and college basketball.


    First up on our Tip-Off Topics, we recap all this week’s NBA Play-In games as there were some anticipated outcomes and some surprises as well. In addition, are the Kings lost to the Dallas, the team decided to part ways with their GM Monte McNair after a disappointing 2024-25 season. In college basketball, a major pick from the transfer portal as Florida, fresh off capturing this year’s National Championship, got ex-Princeton standout guard Xaivian Lee. Also, Chad Baker-Maraza announced that he’s going to enter the transfer after his run with Auburn. There’s much more to uncover in college basketball all as well that Coach covers for you.


    We have decided to make two Award Tours previewing the Eastern and Western Conference in separate segments. We first preview the upcoming 8th-Seed games in NBA taking place on Friday (04/18), then preview each series matchup, in which Coach will give you a best bet for each series that you don’t want to miss.

    On our Tip-Off Topics, major breaking news as the Suns fire head coach Mike Budenholzer after a 36-46 regular season. Coach and Michelle wonder what the Suns front office should be doing next to get this team back on the wrong track. Speaking of firing, the Pelicans have let go of their executive vice president David Griffin, it’s been basically a train wreck for New Orleans for a good while and it was time to make a move. We, then, go through three new head coach hirings: Ben McCollum officially taking the helm at Iowa, Fran McCaffery reportedly the next head coach at UPenn, and Xavier reportedly hiring Richard Pitino. In addition, the madness continues not just in the NCAA Tournament, but also in the transfer portal as well, as much as 1800+ men and women players have entered the transfer portal. Could this be the reason that college basketball might take a huge turn? Is it for better or worse?
