• Is Your Network Really Your Net Worth? The Personal Challenge of Growing Apart from Close Friends on the Path to Success… And Why That Is Okay // 008
    2023/02/24

In this episode, I discuss the personal challenge of growing apart from close friends, and how it relates to the concept that "your network is your net worth." I share a personal story about meeting Tim Grover, Michael Jordan's trainer, in Las Vegas in 2018, and how I pushed back on the idea that your network determines your success.

However, I now question my relationships because of who I want to become, and the constant battle between moving on and trying to find better friends or fighting for the relationships they already have. I wonder if severing past friendships that don't serve a purpose anymore is one of the sacrifices needed to achieve greatness.

The episode also includes a business update where I share my experience steering 6 Rings Media in the right direction. They highlight the importance of building genuine relationships in business and the necessity of being out in public and introducing oneself to the marketplace.

Moving forward, I plan to keep growing as an entrepreneur and communicate my skills and services both offline and online. The episode serves as a reminder of the challenges of personal growth and the importance of building genuine relationships in business.

  • 007: Discovering the Beauty of the Philippines While Navigating the Bumpy Road of Business
    2023/02/10

Recently, I took a trip to the Philippines and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. From the stunning beaches to the warm and welcoming people, I was completely captivated by the country's beauty. However, as much as I enjoyed my time back home, my trip was not without its challenges.

I built my ad agency and I have been working nonstop on it for years now. This was a huge opportunity for me, so I was really excited about it. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned and I ended up losing a client. It was a huge blow, both personally and professionally.

Despite the disappointment of losing the client, I took some time to reflect on the experience. I realized that sometimes, things don't go the way we want them to, but that doesn't mean that the entire trip or the entire experience was a failure. I learned a lot from my time in the Philippines, both about the country and about myself.

One of the things that I learned is that it's important to stay positive and keep an open mind, even when things are tough. I also learned that sometimes, you have to be willing to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. The Philippines was definitely a challenge for me, but it was also a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow.

So, what can we take away from my journey to the Philippines? Well, I would say that it's important to embrace the bumps in the road and to look for the lessons in every experience. Whether it's a business trip or a personal journey, there's always something to be gained from every experience, even if it doesn't go exactly as planned.

In conclusion, my trip to the Philippines was a truly unforgettable experience. I discovered the country's beauty and learned a lot about myself and my work. While it was a bumpy road at times, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm grateful for the lessons I learned and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Working on piecing together a networking group from scratch, thinking about providing consulting services for brands, and a new office space for work? Tune in to find out more. Slowly but surely, I am learning how to be patient. It is difficult when you are young and want things to happen fast but that is just not how the world works. Working in the trenches and putting things together piece by piece is becoming a fun thing for me. I actually enjoy what I am doing on a day to day basis. I hope you enjoy this episode and I'll catch you on the next one.

In this episode, I talk about my labor day weekend, my week ahead, getting funding for one of my projects, and this dumb show called Selling The OC. Alex Hall deserves all the hell going her way. Anyways, this week, I am preparing my project to take on funding from friends and family. I am also putting together my networking group so we can hit the ground running for the future. I am heading into a time of the year when I substantially focus on work and get stuff done. 10X goals require 10X focus. Let's go.
