    George Barna recently came out with his American Worldview Inventory 2024, Release #4, where he posted the results of a survey of attendees of evangelical churches. His report includes the following: “Unexpectedly large minorities of adults at evangelical churches reject the biblical nature and character of God (24%), and worship spirits other than God of the Bible (26%)…” “A stunning number – 15% – revealed that they occasionally cast spells on other people.” Why is it that Christians will rant about what the outside world is doing, but once we’re confronted with the sin, bondage, occult, and other influences in the church, the lights go out? Mike gets into this and more in this broadcast.

  • Shannon Kay on Her Husband’s Sex Addiction, Part 2

    Shannon Kay continues the story of her 30 year marriage to a husband who was in bondage to porn and sex addiction, and how porn opened the door to massage parlors and strip clubs. Shannon shared that from her perspective pastors aren’t trained to help people in these areas and are making the situation worse. She also shared a story of when she was at church event and the women were broken up to share at tables. After Shannon shared her struggles with sexual sin in her marriage, every woman around the table shared they had the same issues with their husband. This should be another warning of how prevalent sexual sin has become in the church and the urgent need to talk openly about these issues from the pulpit.

    Shannon Kay married her high school sweetheart while they were still teenagers. What began as an admission by her then fiancée that “I struggle with porn” became a full-fledged sex addiction that impacted their entire 30 years of marriage, their children, extended family and friendships. In this first of two broadcasts, Shannon begins her story with a pastor telling them during premarital counseling that “once they had sex it would resolve his lust problem”. She heard comments from other friends and pastors that “it’s normal for all men to have issues with porn.”

    In this first of two broadcasts, TJ, a Phoenix native, shares the beginning of the story of his journey to healing. TJ’s father was an alcoholic who physically abused his mother. His mother was a drug dealer who eventually ended up in prison. TJ was molested by a family member, and later, nearly drowned. At one point TJ became suicidal. He eventually did time in prison when he fell into sexual sin.
